Our team at Expectancy Scanning Studios, Kent are qualified midwife sonographers with over 90 years combined experience and are here to support you as much as possible on your journey.

We understand the wait for that 12 week scan can be agonising and want to do everything we can to reassure and advise you in your early stages of pregnancy. 

Pregnancy After Loss – Rainbow Pregnancy Support Service

You will receive:

• 3 x Early Pregnancy Scans – Scheduled Scans at 6 weeks, 8 weeks and 10 weeks of pregnancy.

• Consultation with Specialist Early Pregnancy Midwife Sonographer

• Medical growth and wellbeing ultrasound scan

• Typed medical report to give to your healthcare provider if required

• Black and white photos to take home
• Wellbeing Wallet from Mama Academy
• Referral to NHS if required

• Referral to our qualified baby loss and rainbow baby counsellor if required

• Option to purchase a Keepsake USB for recording images at your first and future scans. Please advise your sonographer at the time of your scan. 

  *A transvaginal scan may be offered.

  *If you have no or irregular periods, please attend your first scan a minimum of 2 weeks after your first positive pregnancy test.

  *Second and Third Scan will be booked in clinic at your first scan appointment

More Information

All of our pregnancy scans we require you to attend with a full bladder however, if a transvaginal scan is required we will ask you to empty your bladder.

Please bring maternity records or any recent NHS scan reports if you have them.

We have very good links with all local regional hospitals but please note we will refer into the NHS for care or opinion if there is a medical reason to and we have your consent (See our T&C’s Privacy Policy regarding consent and information sharing).

A non-refundable deposit of £25.00 will be required on all bookings. For longer or more detailed appointments a non-refundable deposit of £45 is required. 

As your appointment is a medical examination which cannot be rushed, late arrivals to appointments of more than 5 minutes will have their deposit forfeited and will be asked to re-book.

Guest Policy

All Pregnancy Scans, Fertility scans and any Blood Tests you may attend with a maximum of 5 guests (including children if desired however please be aware that a transvaginal scan may be offered at these appointments).

For scans and blood test appointments, children must be accompanied by another adult.

If you require a translator, please let us know in advance of your booking.
